Media Self-Regulation TV Talk Shows On Air Soon
Yerevan Press Club starts a series of TV talk shows on media self-regulation and journalism ethics issues. The TV program “Mamuli Akumb” (Press Club) will be produced and aired monthly. The shows will focus on the issues of privacy, libel and insult, out-of-court solution of media disputes, the activities of the Media Ethics Observatory (MEO).
The first TV show will be broadcast on Yerkir Media on Friday, Nov. 4, at 18:35 – 20:00 and reran on Tuesday, at 14:15.
The discussion will cover legislative and ethical approaches to freedom of media and how are the public leaders (especially political leaders) protected.
The program will also host Armine Ohanyan, Hraparak newspaper editor and Zaruhi Postanjyan, PM, Member of Heritage faction. Discussions will be facilitated by experts: Gevin Miller, CoE expert on media and human rights legislation, attorney from Great Britain; Ara Ghazaryan, Lawyer; Mesrop Harutyunyan, media expert; Lusine Hakobyan, Attorney, President of Europe in Law Association.
